Why do we have this?
This blog serves as a forum of communication between the volunteers in District 90 media centers and the District Media Specialist. Any concerns, questions or problems can be posted and the District Media Specialist will answer allowing all media center volunteers at all District 90 schools to be kept informed of any items that will help them serve the students.

Hi Alayna,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to know just how many students come to the library in a given day? This has been a frequently asked question.
It depends--at the junior high level--students visit the media center when their teacher schedules a visit--there could be as many as four or five class visits a day or none. In previous years students were also given a signed pass at the junior high to visit the media center during class or a study hall period--no more than three students out of one class at a time. At the K-5 schools, teachers are bringing their classes down during their sustained reading time. Jennifer and I are combining the schedules we received from the principals to a master schedule and we can post that as a link to this blog when we have it finalized. Some K-5 schools have back to back visits with classes all day.
